Each year, the President’s Scholar Awards program acknowledges the contributions of outstanding scholars and emphasizes the fundamental importance of these areas to the mission of the university, with each award including a $5,000 cash prize. With the help of an awards committee, the nominations are reviewed before the three honorees are recommended to UTHealth Houston PresidentGiuseppe N. Colasurdo, MD。

- President’s Scholar Awards are intended to recognize distinguished achievements of faculty members accomplished primarily at UTHealth Houston.
