At the School of Dentistry, our faculty, students, and staff are dedicated to improving overall health by improving oral health. Each year, we serve roughly 20,000 patients, providing screenings, preventative care, and treatment. We work with community partners to reach and treat underserved populations in Greater Houston and across East Texas. And over the course of our history, we have educated more than 10,000 dentists, dental hygienists, and postgraduate generalists and specialists, many of whom stay in Texas to make a difference throughout their careers.

Over a century after becoming the first dental school in Texas and a founding institution of the Texas Medical Center, we continue to lead the way in education, care, research, and community outreach.

We will build on our efforts to nurture the connection between oral health and overall health through our first comprehensive fundraising campaign,Many Faces. One Mission.Your support of this campaign can fund scholarships and financial assistance for our students, advance research in breakthrough disciplines like dental informatics, provide flexible resources through our Dean’s Excellence Fund, and strengthen our commitment to community outreach initiatives.
