Curtis Neveu received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and B.S. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics with a minor in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. He received his PhD from The University Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Then did a posdoctoral fellowship at Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and returned to The University Texas Health Science Center at Houston for a second postdoctoral fellowship. Currently teaches classes for the Postdoctoral Certificate Training Program. Curtis also has created and currently manages a neuroscience learning website for kidswww.learnbio.org.

Curtis Neveu investigates the cellular and physiological mechanisms underlying behavior and decision making using Aplysia as a model organism. He uses a multilevel approach including a pharmacological and electrophysiological characterization of the channels of key neurons within the circuit, voltage sensitive dyes to record spike activity of 100s of neurons simultaneously, and carbon fiber arrays to directly stimulate these neurons. He then incorporates this information into a computation model of the neurocircuit.
