2016 AHIMA Convention & Exhibit Heads to the Charm City

AHIMA 2016 Convention and Exhibit. Inspire Big Thinking to Launch Our FutureSeveral members of the SBMI community are heading to “Charm City”, also known as Baltimore, MD, for the 88thAnnual AHIMA Convention & Exhibit from Oct. 15 through 19. The conference is taking place at the Baltimore Convention Center and this year’s theme is “Inspire Big Thinking to Launch Our Future.”

Check out the conference preview brochure to see what sessions and events are taking place. If you are looking for a specific speaker and are not sure when her or his session takes place, we suggest usingAHIMA’s session finder feature. As always, followSBMI on Twitterand all other social media sites during the convention to get the latest details on sessions and seminars if you cannot attend. Visit SBMI at Booth 935 during the exhibit hall hours:

  • Welcome Reception on Sunday (Oct. 16) from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Monday (Oct. 17) from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday (Oct. 18) from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday (Oct. 19) from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

In between sessions at #AHIMACon16, make sure you stroll along theInner Harborin Baltimore, try some authentic crabs (hint: crab season does not end until Dec. 15) and soak in some culture, art or history at thedozens of museums in the city. If you are willing to travel 40 minutes south, the Washington Redskins play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday the 16that 1 p.m. in Landover, MD at FedExField.
