课程描述:
The course is a hands-on coverage of advanced health information technology, such as FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and CDS Hooks, with focus on implementation of the solution as an app. These advanced technologies solve the problems of implementing informatics solutions within existing systems such as EHRs, Decision Support Systems, Mobile Health, Consumer Health, etc. Students will develop an app as part of the course work.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will:

  • Design an app using interoperable protocols (SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks) for a clinical protocol or case scenario
  • Construct an effective rule engine and algorithm within the app to support a clinical protocol or case scenario.
  • Evaluate the performance of the app against multiple criteria (ex. Data integrity, Usability, Acceptability, Efficiency, etc.)
  • Publish an interoperable app (SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks) in a sandbox environment
  • Prepare business and technical documentations for implementation of the solution
