教授and two-time SBMI Alumna康斯坦斯约翰逊博士RN,女士, has been appointed the Maria C. and Christopher J. Pappas Family Distinguished Chair in Nursing at UTHealth’s Jane and Robert Cizik School of Nursing.

Johnson, who has served as associate dean for Research and Scholarship at Cizik School of Nursing since October of 2016, is the first recipient of the appointment. In 2017, Maria and Christopher Pappas pledged $1 million, matched by UTHealth’s Game Changers Initiative, to create the endowed position.

In addition to her associate dean role, she is the chair of the Research Department at the Cizik School of Nursing and is part-time faculty at SBMI. She has two degrees from SBMI – a PhD earned in 2003 and a MS earned in 2001.
