Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. To ensure compliance with Title IX and other federal and state civil rights laws, the university has developed policies that prohibitdiscrimination和sexual misconductin all of its forms.
Any questions regarding Title IX may be referred to theTitle IX Coordinator.
Our Title IX Coordinators
The Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator have received specialized training and are knowledgeable about sex discrimination including sexual misconduct, harassment, and violence. They also know about UTHealth’s policies prohibitingdiscrimination和sexual misconduct和can provide information on options for complaint resolution. The Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator play an integral role in carrying out UTHealth’s commitment to providing a positive learning, teaching, and working environment that is free from sex discrimination.

All Title IX Coordinators, Deputy Coordinators, investigators, and those with authority over University Grievance Processes and appeals shall receive training each academic year about applicable prohibited conduct, Grievance Processes, due process, and University policies related to Sexual Misconduct. All materials used to train Title IX related personnel (e.g., Title IX Coordinator, deputies, investigators, hearing officers, Appellate Officers, and others) are available below.
