Dr. Pereira earned her DDS degree from the Carabobo University, Venezuela. She holds a Specialist Degree in Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias da Saude Egas Moniz, Portugal. She was appointed Associate Professor in the Carabobo University for nine years before moving to Houston, when she joined the faculty team of The University of Texas at Houston as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. She has focused her teaching and research in dental materials and restorative dentistry.
