Dr. Vinu. T. Sista is an Assistant Professor for the Department of General Practice and Public Health. She serves primarily as a clinical instructor for the second, third and fourth-year dental students as the First Attending of Orange Practice. She is a 2001 Graduate of University of California, Los Angeles where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. Dr. Sista earned her DDS degree at the University of California, San Francisco in 2005. She then furthered her education at the UTHealth School of Dentistry where she graduated from the General Practice Residency program. Dr. Sista is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and recently earned her Fellowship in General Dentistry. She is also a member of The American Dental Education Association and the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Sista is a proud member of the National Health Service Corps, through which she has offered her services in undeserved areas to help those in need. At UCSF Dr. Sista was a member of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and earned the Flemming scholarship for outstanding Community Outreach.
