Impact begins with opportunity. Today, the students and trainees of UTHealth are passionate and committed learners. Tomorrow, they are our doctors. Our nurses. Our dentists. Our public health experts. The researchers whose work helps solve the toughest health challenges.
Scholarships and Fellowships
In order to train the next generation, we must do our best today while always looking to improve tomorrow. This is the core of what it means to educate: training people to become experts and training them to apply that expertise in service of meaningful progress.
Across our six schools at UTHealth, educators and learners alike share a commitment to progress, to people, and to health. They commit to our communities, and your philanthropy is a commitment to them.Scholarships and fellowships provide UTHealth with the means to attract the brightest minds, many of whom may not be able to nurture their talent without the benefit offinancial assistance.
- Scholarships:Scholarship funds support students who will go on to enhance health in our communities. They are awarded based on academic merit, financial need, or other factors in accordance with a donor’s wishes.
- Fellowships:A fellowship supports graduate students, postdoctoral research fellows, or residents as they pursue advanced training in the health issues that matter most in our communities. These valuable funds provide our students and trainees with the resources to support their continued education.
We build healthier communities when we commit to the people who will serve, heal, and advocate for them. This ripple effect is one reason why scholarships and fellowships mean so much: They make a difference for their recipients, who go on to care for patients, help communities, and move health care forward.
The success of our learners is measured by lives improved, pain relieved, and futures brightened. As our students move forward to become the next generation of health care leaders, your support ofMany Faces. One Mission.can help them lead health initiatives and advance breakthrough cures—and all of the benefits to our communities that their commitment creates.
