Biography

S. Keisin Wang, MD, is a vascular surgeon and serves as assistant professor of vascular and endovascular surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Dr. Wang’s clinical focus is on treating and managing aortic disease, peripheral vascular disease, carotid arterial disease, mesenteric disease, and dialysis access and management. He primarily operates out of Memorial Hermann Greater Heights and Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospitals.

Wang has authored and co-authored over 70 journal articles and abstracts on vascular and endovascular surgery emphasizing complex aortic disease, limb ischemia, and carotid artery disease. He is the recipient of many academic awards, including one from the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society and the Society of Vascular Surgery’s “Top Gun” Award. He has been recognized on many occasions for his work in research. Wang is an active member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and Association for Academic Surgery.

His main research interests include treating carotid artery disease, critical limb ischemia, and aortic aneurysms.

In his free time, Wang enjoys following college football and cheering for his favorite team, Penn State. He enjoys the local Houston food scene and spending time with his wife, two children, and the family’s two dogs.
