Biography

Zain Al Rstum，医学博士, is a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon, and serves as assistant professor of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Dr. Al Rstum is board certified in vascular surgery. His clinical interests include the treatment of complex aortic and vascular disease. He primarily operates out of LBJ Harris Health System Hospital, Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center, and Memorial Hermann Woodlands Hospitals.

Al Rstum has authored and co-authored several journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters on the subjects of cardiothoracic, vascular, and endovascular surgery, emphasizing aortic surgery. He continues his work in research, focusing on cardiothoracic and aortic diseases. He is the recipient of many academic awards and is an active member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, American College of Surgeons, and Society of Thoracic Surgery.
