Prithvi Patil, MS

Biography

Prithvi Patil currently works as a Research Associate with iGUT. He earned his graduate degree in Biomedical Informatics from UTHealth – School of Biomedical Informatics in Houston, TX.

With his vast amount of Health Informatics background, Mr. Patil utilizes his time handling multiple (more than 15) research projects for the entire iGUT team beginning from the study creation in IRB, coordination of day-to-day activities to accomplishing successful completion over time. He also evaluates and interprets several patient databases in order to transform data into actionable insights for better future outcomes.

Mr. Patil is also a clinical data scientist who routinely uses the latest informatics and data analytical approaches to drive clinical operations, create physician accessible dashboards and build insights for data-based projects to aid an effective workflow. He has developed a useful dashboard which helps track iGUT members their transaction charges, net payments and work RVUs distributed by month & provider. Additionally, he is involved in promising initiatives to develop and implement Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning processes to solve business problems which aids the department’s clinical workflow.

He is an active member of several diverse national organizations ranging from Health Informatics, Gastroenterology and Education. He currently serves as an Interoperability Showcase Ambassador for HIMSS and is an active member of their Houston and Texas chapter. Furthermore, he holds active memberships with the American College of Gastroenterology and the UTHealth SBMI Alumni committee.

Mr. Patil enjoys travelling outdoors and loves to stay active by working out regularly. He is an avid sports fan and never misses a chance to be involved in games or discussions about soccer, football, cricket, basketball and badminton among a few.
