Dr. Sydnee Lucas
Sydnee Lucas, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, joined Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth in January 2021 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Graduate Studies.
卢卡斯博士曾作为一个家庭护士Practitioner for various institutions in the Houston area since earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Cizik School of Nursing in 2015. Her clinical focus has been working with pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in under-resourced communities.
She earned her MSN from Cizik School of Nursing after receiving her BSN from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Marissa Solorzano
Marissa Solorzano, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, came on board September 1, 2020, as an instructor in the Department of Graduate Studies. She brings extensive clinical experience to her role in our Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. She is board certified as both a PMHNP and an FNP and provided primary care via her own telehealth practice for the previous five years.
She joined Cizik School of Nursing most directly from Cyega Mental Health Services, where she conducted initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management in an outpatient setting for children, adolescents, and adults.
Ms. Solorzano did her post-master’s PMHNP work at Cizik School of Nursing after earning her MSN/FNP from Prairie View A&M University and her BSN from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Carolyn Tran
Assistant Professor Carolyn Tran, DNP, APRN, GNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is dual board certified as a gerontological and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She joined Cizik School of Nursing’s clinical track faculty in January 2020. Her clinical interests include geriatric psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and pain management. Dr. Tran earned her DNP and MSN degrees and completed a psychiatric mental health post-graduate program at Cizik School of Nursing, where she is currently completing her PhD studies.
Born and raised in Texas, she is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and four children (ages range from 8 to 4 years old). She is a foodie fanatic and loves to try out different cuisines.
