CeTIR has designed and implemented as well as participated in a wide variety of studies in trauma, burn and traumatic brain injury. CeTIR’s research activities have directly impacted patient care and have resulted in a reduction in overall mortality from 7.1% to 5.7% despite a 13% increase in admissions and a reduction in mortality related to damage control laparotomies from 18.9% to 7.1%.
Activities include:
Partnership with MH-TMC, one of the busiest Level 1 trauma center in the U.S.
Access to 7000 trauma admissions annually (~3000 are considered highest activation)
