UTHealth Vendors and Contractors Policies and Procedures

UTHealth is taking proactive measures to ensure that our vendor and contractor partners work with us to prevent the introduction or spread of COVID-19.

Effective immediately, all vendors and contractors who work onsite at a UTHealth facility must comply with the university’sCOVID-19 travel policiesand submit a completed copy of theUTHealth Vendor and Contractor Representation Form遵守Uthealth的Covid-19程序。(此表格是PDF,最好在Google Chrome或Mozilla Firefox中打开。)

Vendors and contractors are expected to stay up to date with our policies, which are being updated regularly to maintain the safety of our community as this situation continues to rapidly evolve. Please check this webpage often for updates.

Travel Policies

    1. Before all travel

    1. International Travel
      1. UTHealth international travel (including Mexico and Canada):To minimize risk and potential for exposure, all international travel for UTHealth business, regardless of the destinations’ designated Risk Assessment Level, is prohibited until further notice.

      2. Personal international travel (including Mexico and Canada):If you are planning to travel internationally for personal reasons, especially if it is to or through restricted countries identified by theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) and the美国国务院, we strongly encourage you to postpone your trip.

    1. Domestic Travel
      1. UTHealth国内旅游:While we are not currently prohibiting work-related domestic travel, you are now required to obtain approval from your UTHealth supervisor or point of contact and the Office of Enterprise Risk Managementvia the Travel Registration Formfor all business travel within the U.S., regardless of the mode of transportation. We ask that you limit domestic travel to essential, mission-critical activities and, in lieu of travel to out-of-town meetings and conferences, we recommend the use of institutional Skype, WebEx and otherconferencing tools to participate remotely

    2. Returning from travel

      Ifyouhave traveled to or returned from any international destination or domestic destination with high levels of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, you are required to contact Employee Health Services for an assessment prior to returning to the UTHealth campus.

Additionally, anyone who is symptomatic or believes they are at risk for having contracted COVID-19 for any reason is encouraged to undergo an assessment as well.

Anyonereturning from a destination listed asLevel 2 or higher travel advisoryrelated to COVID-19 by either the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the U.S. Department of State may not report to work for 14 days, even if they are asymptomatic.

Employees of vendors or contractors who are advised to stay offsite should work with their UTHealth supervisors or points of contact to determine if they can work from home.

At the end of the 14-day period, those who have been asked to stay offsite should contact Employee Health Services for updated guidance and requirements prior to returning to UTHealth or any of its clinics or affiliated hospitals.

Please be advised that this situation is evolving rapidly and we are updating policies and procedures regularly to maintain the safety of our community. To that end, the above-referenced restrictions may be extended as appropriate.
