South Asian Medical Student Association (SAMSA)

May 18, 2020

TheSouth Asian Medical Student Association(SAMSA)is a student group dedicated to sharing South Asian culture within the TMC community. Our goal is to create a safe where individuals of all cultures can feel safe to share and learn more about their peers. Throughout the year, we will host a series of lectures detailing the influence that South Asian heritage has had on physicians through a plethora of experiences, such as their academic journey, patient interactions and their practice today. Additionally, we host several exciting events throughout the year to help students form social and professional relationships with peers and even mentors. We also work to provide service opportunities for students to work with the South Asian community here in Houston.
