Biography

Dr. Wung completed his internal medicine and rheumatology fellowship post-graduate training at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. During his fellowship training he obtained a Masters in Health Science in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His clinical focus involves scleroderma and associated conditions while he also has an interest in other fibrotic disorders (e.g., pulmonary fibrosis) and vasculitis. Previously, he was the recipient of the Karen Brown Scleroderma Foundation award.

Prior to joining UTHealth, he was appointed as an adjunct faculty in the Division of Rheumatology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, established his own private rheumatology practice and worked in the CRO industry for a number of years. Currently, he is employed at a global pharmaceutical company leading the development of novel therapies for various inflammatory and fibrotic conditions, including scleroderma while also sees patients with scleroderma and associated conditions in the clinic at UT Professional Building. He is fluent in conversational Mandarin.
