Life Changing Tackle for Woodlands Teen

A teen in The Woodlands was doing what he loved when his life changed in an instant. Camp Berryman was making a tackle in a football game and suffered a carotid dissection, leading to symptoms of stroke. He was taken to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center the next day, where the carotid dissection was discovered. A month later, a stent was placed in his carotid artery by neuro interventional surgeon, Gary Spiegel, M.D. Camp is now resuming the life of a normal teenager and has picked up a new sport…lacrosse.
