Dr. Bonnie P. Gregory is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Dr. Gregory received her undergraduate degree at the Duke University (Durham, NC) where she was a varsity rower and achieved academic All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors. She completed medical school at the University of Louisville (Louisville, KY) where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the prestigious Rush University Medical Center (Chicago, IL) followed by a fellowship in Shoulder and Sports Medicine at Duke University (Durham, NC).

During her training, she had extensive hands-on experience in sports medicine treating recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. She worked with the Chicago Steel Hockey Team (USHL), the Joffrey Ballet (Chicago, IL); the athletic teams at Duke University, North Carolina Central University and Roosevelt University (Chicago, IL); as well as local high school teams.Dr. Gregory is the team physician for the Houston Dash, Sugar Land Skeeters, University of Houston, North American University (Stafford, Texas), Foster High School, and also participates in the care of athletes at other local high schools.

Dr. Gregory is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, and the Piedmont Orthopaedic Society. She has authored many scientific articles as well as textbook chapters on topics within sports medicine, and presented her work at national meetings. She is a rising leader in orthopaedics and has completed the Feagin Leadership Program at Duke University as well as the American Orthopaedic Association C. McCollister Evart Resident Leadership Forum and Emerging Leaders Program.

Ultimately, Dr. Gregory’s goal is to utilize evidence-based, individualized treatment plans to get her patients back to the activities they enjoy and prevent future injuries.
