Biography

Dr. Laura Torres-Barré is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Torres-Barré specializes in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Torres-Barré received her undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University. She attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she went on to complete a General Surgery internship and an Orthopedic Surgery residency.

Dr. Torres-Barré is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Orthopedic Women’s Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Texas Orthopedic Association.
