Biography

Dr. Rehal Bhojani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). In addition, he serves as the Program Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at UTHealth and the Medical Director of Master of Athletic Training program at the University of Houston (UH).

Dr. Bhojani is a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician who is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Bhojani received his Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas. He earned his Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Bhojani then went on to complete his internship and residency training at the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, Texas where he also served as Chief Resident. He underwent his fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital System in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Bhojani provides highly personalized and full-spectrum care to all his patients, age 6 years and older for family medicine and sports medicine patients. His clinical interests include concussion management, exercise prescription, chronic medical disease management, health maintenance and preventive medicine, non-operative musculoskeletal of injuries, and injury prevention.
