Biography
Matthew King, MD, is an assistant professor in the Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Through the department’s telemedicine program, he provides adult psychiatric services to Rusk State Hospital, serving patients with severe mental illnesses. A recent graduate of our residency program, King is a native Houstonian. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Rice University in Houston, Texas, before earning a Doctor of Medicine degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. King’s primary clinical interest is the inpatient psychiatric management of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. He is also enjoys participating in the education of medical students and residents.
