Realizing that his passions lay elsewhere, Dr. Meyer attended medical school at The Ross University School of Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude and went on to complete his residency in General Surgery at the University of Arizona. At McGovern Medical School formerly the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, he completed fellowships in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery and was later invited to stay on as faculty. Dr. Meyer is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Surgery in the Division of Acute Care Surgery.
