These positions are under the direct supervision of Cui Tao, PhD to support skilled computer scientists andinformaticiansinterested in developing a career in data science applied to biomedical informatics research. The position includes opportunities to receive training in data management, developing machine learning/deep learning methods to analyze big biomedical data, proposal/paper writing, and developing an independent area of research. Research Associate

Assist with the day-to-day activities for research project(s) and may impact the success of the research project(s). The Research Associate positions are to support skilled computer scientists and informaticians interested in developing a career in data science applied to biomedical informatics research. The positions include opportunities to receive training in data management and knowledge representation (i.e., biomedical ontologies), and develop machine learning/deep learning methods to big biomedical data to solve clinical and public health research questions, such as HIV prevention, cardiovascular disease. The Research Associate positions are also expected to be involved in proposal and scientific paper writing, and collaborate with scientists and clinicians on federal or state-funded projects.
