For UTHealth employees – Employee Self Service instructions

To add or update a personal cellphone number:

  1. Log intoEmployee Self Service(ESS), found at the top navigation bar ofInside UTHealth.
  2. UnderMy Personal Information, click onPhone Numbers.
  3. Once you are on thePhone Numberspage, you can click on theAdd a Phone Numberbutton and a new line will appear.
  4. On the new line click the drop down box under thePhone Type column, selectMobileand then type in your phone number. When typing, simply enter the numbers – the system will automatically add any dashes or slashes to keep all numbers consistent.
  5. ClickSave.
  6. ASave confirmationnotice will appear and you can clickOK. Your new phone number has been added.

For UTHealth students – myUTH instructions

Note: UTHealth Alert is listed as UTH Alert in myUTH.

To add or update a personal cellphone number:

  1. Log intomyUTHand navigate to theStudent Center.
  2. SelectPhone Numbersfrom the drop down list in thePersonal Information
  3. Click the>>button and a list of phone numbers will appear.
  4. If aPhone Typeof is listed, edit the phone number by clicking on the phone number. Click theSavebutton when edits are complete
  5. If a UTH Alert phone number does not exist, add one by selecting theAdd A Phone Number
  6. A new row will appear. SelectUTH Alertfrom thePhone Typedrop down list and enter the phone number in the appropriate field.
  7. ClickSave.

For residents and clinical fellows – Graduate Medical Education Information System (GMEIS) Instructions

To add or update a personal cellphone number, pager or personal email address:

  1. Go toNew Innovationsand click on the Resident/Fellow link.
  2. Click on Demographic and Biographic Information→ update (or add) cellphone number, pager, personal email address → save changes.

Note: you can click on either pager or cellphone and make changes to one or all items.

  1. ClickSave.

For UTHealth official guests

To add or update a personal cellphone number:

  1. Visit the Everbridge guest portal athttps://iam.uth.tmc.edu/guestadmin/login.faces.
  2. Login with your UTHealth login ID.
  3. If you elect to opt out of receiving emergency alerts, check theopt out
  4. If you elect to receive emergency alerts, enter your cellphone in the format xxx-xxx-xxxx.
  5. ClickUpdate.

For a member of the general public

To add or update your contact information to UTHealth Alert:

  1. Visit the Everbridge public portal athttps://member.everbridge.net/index/892807736722093#/login.
  2. ClickSign Up.
    • Create a username and fill in Sign Up blanks (First name, last name, etc.).
  3. ClickCreate Your Account
    • Fill in blanks for your profile (email, cell phone number, etc.).
  4. ClickSave and Continue
  5. Review your profile and click
