aortic aorta disease awareness

What better way to draw attention and increase awareness of Aortic Disease than an appearance by Aortawoman and Aorta-themed sweet treats? Bravo to Regina Husman, MD, second-year integrated vascular surgery resident, for fully committing to her role and effectively turning heads at the Texas Medical Center to pique the curiosity of bystanders.

Along with commemorating the “great artery” on Tuesday, Sept. 21, we reflected on the work of our physicians, researchers, and healthcare providers who have built their careers on treating, educating, and researching aortic diseases.

With the support of McGovern Medical School, UT Physicians and UTHealth Houston, several social media posts were created and promoted throughout the week. McGovern Medical School compiled a list ofrecent highlights from our department focused on aorta health, UTHealth Houston created aninformative animated videoabout aortic disease, and UT Physicians caught up with">thoracic aortic aneurysm repair survivor他的火车s for two upcoming IronMan race events.

We celebrate our team members for their commitment to helping patients overcome aortic conditions within the Houston community and beyond.
