Biography

Dr. Tomi Ashaye received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Sciences in Illinois. She completed residency training in neurology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where she was co-chief neurology resident, and went on to complete a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She joined UTHealth Neurosciences and the faculty at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth from Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, Illinois, where she was an attending physician.

Dr. Ashaye is a fellowship-trained neurophysiologist who focuses her practice on general neurology, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disease with a specific interest in epilepsy diagnosis and treatment. She is certied by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and epilepsy.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society. She was named one of Chicago Magazine’s Top Doctors 2020.
