Biography

Alia Warner, PhD,is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is a licensed psychologist with primary clinical interest in the assessment and delivery of evidence-based treatments for adults with severe mental illnesses, specifically schizophrenia spectrum disorders.

In addition, she provides psychological services to adults at UTHealth HCPC. She also provides clinical supervision and training to psychology pre-doctoral interns, psychiatry residents and practicum students rotating with the Psychology Service at UTHealth HCPC.

Warner completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. She also completed a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellowship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center with an emphasis in serious mental illness.
