Cardiothoracic

Welcome to Cardiothoracic imaging section at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. The cardiothoracic imaging section performs a variety of standard and advanced noninvasive imaging tests for conditions affecting the heart, great vessels and lungs including chest radiography, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The division is comprised of five Fellowship Trained and Board Certified Cardiothoracic Radiologists. We are an active service with close relationships with cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, pulmonary and critical care medicine, oncology and internal medicine services. Our service provides clinical care at Lyndon B. Johnson County hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital a leading referral center for trauma, cardiovascular surgery, lung transplantation and interstitial lung disease. Our section is also recognized for its excellence in lung cancer screening. Our academic mission includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. We are engaged actively in clinical research of cardiopulmonary diseases.
