The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and society. The office comprises four giving programs—Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Major and Principal Gifts, and Gift Planning, as well as offices in each of the six schools and major institutes.

Director, Development - Major Gifts
The incoming Director will join a development team that has experienced unparalleled growth and notable fundraising success over the past 10 years. This strategic leader will have an opportunity to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising and advancement efforts for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship across our six schools. The Director will work in collaboration with other gift officers to focus on major gift fundraising, while also working closely with the gift planning staff.

Associate Director or Manager of Development Communications
UTHealth休斯敦正在寻找助理Director of Development Communications to manage, lead, and mentor a team of two development writers to support fundraising and philanthropy efforts within the Office of Development. Reporting to the Director of Development Communications, this person will write, edit, and manage communications projects, including proposals, stories, stewardship reports, annual giving pieces, and other materials to cultivate relationships with and to solicit individuals, corporations, and foundations to support UTHealth Houston’s mission. There are currently two writers on the team with plans to add more. Candidates should have strong attention to detail and time management skills as well as experience in translating complex scientific material for a variety of audiences. Applicants with grant writing experience are strongly encouraged to apply. InDesign experience is a plus. An emphasis on technical writing would be a plus.

Prospect Research Analyst in Development
We are looking for a Prospect Research Analyst to work in the development area of UTHealth Houston. This employee provides highly customized and strategic information that helps build relationships with donors and increase giving. Contributes to executing a comprehensive program of prospect identification; provides high-level background research and strategy recommendations, financial and demographic analysis and capacity evaluations; and executes a wide range of development research activities to support fundraising initiatives. Traits we are seeking include being inquisitive, curious, and smart. The focus of the role is on finding new donors while simultaneously understanding the potential of our existing ones. You must be a good researcher, and have a certain savvy with understanding databases. Our development office utilizes a software program named Raiser's Edge, so any use of that will be an asset. We value candidates with a library sciences degree, or really any academic pursuit that lends itself to research and a natural sense of curiosity.
