Isabel Chacon, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor
Isabel is a certified lactation educator and serves as Lactation Foundation’s breastfeeding peer counselor.
I became a certified breastfeeding educator after working with WIC and continued to work with WIC as a Nutrition Assistant in San Diego, Texas, and Japan. I then became a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor while living in North Carolina. My love for my chosen profession never wanes, being a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor continues to be my dream job. Sitting with families each day is an honor and the space we keep together is sacred.
Isabel is a proud parent to two wonderful boys, breastfed for 6 months and 15 months. She knows that breastfeeding can be both very challenging and very rewarding and is so thankful to help moms through that journey.
