Sydnee Lucas is Family Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Professor of Graduate Studies – Clinical Track at the Cizik School of Nursing. Her teaching duties involve co-teaching across multiple courses in the graduate program, specifically Family Nurse Practitioner I didactic and clinical, Family Nurse Practitioner II didactic and clinical, Physical Examination and Differential Diagnosis Lab, and Diagnostics.
She has a background working with pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients in under-resourced communities around Houston. She has presented on Social Determinant of Health Screenings, Management of Pediatric Behavioral Health Disorders in an Integrated Pediatric Medical Home, and Judicious Antibiotic Prescribing for Pediatric URI. Sydnee joined the faculty of UTHealth in January 2021.
She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, TNP, NAPNAP, and Doctors for Change.
Sydnee received her BSN from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned the Master of Science and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the UT Health Science Center at Houston School of Nursing.
