Dr. Arnaud is the director of the Nurse Anesthesia Division at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston Cizik School of Nursing, where he holds an academic rank of associate professor of clinical nursing. He practices clinically as a CRNA with the UTHealth Department of Anesthesiology - providing clinical anesthesia to a diverse patient population and for various surgical disciplines at the Harris Health Lyndon Baines Johnson General Hospital in Houston.

A native of Louisiana, Dr. Arnaud attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After practicing emergency and critical care nursing for several years, he earned a Master of Science degree in nurse anesthesia from Baylor College of Medicine and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at UTHealth. Dr. Arnaud has been actively involved in nurse anesthesia education and practice for 18 years.

Dr. Arnaud has educational interests in pharmacology, utilizing simulation modalities to improve clinical knowledge, technical and nontechnical skill proficiency, and developing curriculum and measurement approaches for nurse anesthesia education. His clinical interests include cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia and anesthesia delivery system technology.
