Fay appointed to Texas Council on Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders

Vaunette Fay appointed to state’s council on Alzheimer’s disease

(Feb. 27, 2018) – Lt.GovernorDan Patrick has appointed Professor of Clinical Nursing Vaunette P. Fay, Ph.D., R.N.C., Department of Nursing Systems, to the Texas Council on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders. She is Cizik School of Nursing’s director of Continuing Education and has more than 30 years of experience in nursing education and care of older adult patients and their families.

“This is quite an honor, and I know Dr. Fay will serve the State of Texas well in this capacity,” said Dean Lorraine Frazier, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, the John P. McGovern Distinguished Professor.

The Council, established in 1987, advises the Legislature and recommends needed action for the benefit of persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, as well as for their caregivers.
