Ethington appointed permanent Student Affairs executive director
(Jan. 25, 2019) – Interim Dean Diane M. Santa Maria, Dr.P.H., M.S.N., R.N., announced today that Melissa D. Ethington, Ph.D., R.N., has been permanently appointed as executive director of Cizik School of Nursing’s Office of Student Affairs. The appointment is effective from Jan. 16.
“In the interim role, she did an outstanding job leading this important department as a record number of students at all degree levels started their studies or celebrated Commencement,” said Santa Maria, the Dorothy T. Nicholson Distinguished Professor.
Ethington will continue as an assistant professor in the Department of Undergraduate Studies and as the executive director of Assessment and Quality Assurance for the nursing school.
